Dr. Frank C. Rugani (JHS Class of 1958) graduated from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry in 1964. He practiced dentistry in Saginaw, MI for 36 years and on a part time basis in Traverse City, MI for 6 years. He retired in 2006 and returned home to the Copper Country of MI. He has two sons and a granddaughter.
Nancy Trudgeon, (JHS Class of 1958) was married to Peter Koskela (JHS Class of 1957) and lived in Marquette, MI, Wyandotte, MI and lastly in Columbia, MO. They returned to Houghton County to retire in 1999.Peter passed away in 2004. Nancy had worked in the Peter White Public Library in Marquette, MI and the Columbia Public Library in MO. She has four sons, a daughter, three grandsons and two granddaughters.
After not seeing each other in 48 years, Frank and Nancy were reunited and married in 2006 while preparing for their 50th JHS Class Reunion.They have turned to researching and writing about the history of the environs of their youth. Their first book, Donken/Vulcan Corporation – Boom Town to Ghost Town, was published in 2008. They have spent the last two years collecting material on the history of Adams Township Schools. Their book, Adams Township Schools – Over a Century of Excellence has been a labor of love. They are actively involved in the Sarah Sargent Paine Historical Research Center and the Adams Township School District Foundation. They also enjoy time with their families and traveling.
