The authors, Frank and Nancy M. Rugani, have taken great pains to meticulously research and verify content with personal interviews whenever possible and by cross-referencing information with hundreds of historical archives. They have researched all of the school board minutes from 1894 to 2010 and included many of them that define the evolutionary process of not only this school system, but public school administration in Michigan throughout the 20th Century.
